PPA plastic - polyphthalamide

PPA plastic is a semi crystalline aromatic polyamide resin. The properties of PPA material include exceptionally high heat resistance, low moisture absorption and excellent sliding properties due to its high crystallinity.
The material PPA is the evolution of polyamide and represents the link between lower performance engineering polymers (polyethylene, polypropylene, polycarbonate, etc.) and high performance engineering polymers.
Compared to nylon 66, PPA polymer is stronger, stiffer, less sensitive to moisture and more heat resistant. Due to its bundle of properties, PPA plastic material is also used as a metal substitute, especially in the automotive industry.

Manufactured PPA products and PPA parts

Ensinger produces specific formulations based on PPA polymer, which are offered in the form of compounds for injection molding. In addition, PPA thermoplastic is also processed into profiles at Ensinger.
