PEEK compound with 30 % glass fiber reinforcement

Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is in demand as a high temperature resistant plastic in a wide range of applications, e.g. in automotive and mechanical engineering, office machines and precision engineering. Suitable for permanent use up to 260 °C, and for short periods up to 300 °C, this semi-crystalline thermoplastic resists almost all organic and inorganic chemicals. 

In TECACOMP PEEK 450 GF30 natural, 30 % glass fibers improves the modulus of elasticity and the tensile and compressive strength. Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is also included as a demolding aid. The compound absorbs hardly any moisture, has high heat distortion resistance and good sliding and friction properties.
