TECACOMP PEEK 450 ID blue 1014884

Detectable, highly temperature resistant PEEK compound

REQUEST FURTHER PROCESSING OPTIONS

In hygiene- and process-critical applications in the food industry, especially in product contact zones, detectable PEEK compounds are increasingly used to ensure product safety. This specially developed PEEK granules, based on high-performance PEEK polymer, combines outstanding thermomechanical properties with reliable detectability for inline monitoring. The material is easily identified by common metal and X-ray systems, and its characteristic blue coloration supports visual detection in open production environments.
TECACOMP PEEK 450 ID blue combines the proven performance of PEEK resin with enhanced detectability. It offers continuous use up to 260 °C, excellent chemical resistance, and outstanding resistance to hydrolysis and hot steam. With low water absorption, low thermal expansion, and high dimensional stability, the PEEK compounds ensure reliability under thermal and mechanical stress.
Approved for direct food contact under FDA and EU Regulation 10/2011, the detectable PEEK grade is ideal for components in product contact applications. Preferably processed in PEEK injection moulding or PEEK plastic injection moulding, it allows the manufacture of high-precision, dimensionally stable components for hygiene-critical environments.
Typical uses for this advanced PEEK compound include slide and chain guides, thermoforming elements, cleaning nozzles, tank linings, and stressed plastic parts in ovens or packaging systems. Combining temperature stability, detectability, and food compliance, TECACOMP PEEK 450 ID blue provides a process-reliable solution for automated production lines in food and packaging technology.
