Polyamide 66 with optimised sliding and wear properties

PA66 is a semi-crystalline engineering plastic that can be used in temperature ranges up to 110 °C, and for short periods up to 170 °C, for a wide range of applications. The good mechanical properties of the base polymer were further improved with carbon fibers and mineral fillers. The tribologically and mechanically optimised compound has proved particularly successful in mechanical engineering and vehicle construction.

TECACOMP PA66 TRM XS has a density of only 1.31 g/cm3 and, in addition to its good tribological properties, is also electrically conductive. The carbon fibers increase tensile, compressive and wear resistance. Carbon also has a less abrasive effect on the mating partner than glass fibers, for example, and dissipates heat in a better way.
