TECACOMP PPS TRM PVX black is a tribologically modified PPS compound based on highly crystalline polyphenylene sulfide (PPS resin), optimised for PPS injection moulding. The polymer matrix provides stable mechanical performance at continuous temperatures up to 230 °C and withstands peak loads of up to 260 °C. Thanks to its chemical structure, PPS plastics exhibit outstanding media resistance below 200 °C, no organic solvent is effective, and acids or alkalis do not significantly impair material integrity.
The tribological performance of this PPS grade is achieved through the addition of carbon fibres (CF), graphite (GR), and PTFE. This filler combination ensures a homogeneous distribution of solid lubricants within the matrix, enabling stable friction and wear properties under both dry-running and lubricated conditions. Carbon fibres further enhance wear and pressure resistance, improve load-bearing capacity, and reduce deformation under mechanical stress.
The PPS granules also feature low water absorption, minimal thermal expansion, and high creep resistance, maintaining dimensional stability even under combined temperature and pressure loads. With UL 94 V-0 flame resistance and excellent PPS resin properties in aggressive environments, TECACOMP PPS TRM PVX black is particularly suitable for tribologically stressed components in mechanical engineering and automotive applications. This advanced PPS compound offers the performance required where long-term reliability, wear resistance, and high thermal stability are essential.
