TECACOMP PPA TRM XS black 1054920

Carbon fibre reinforced PPA compound with optimised wear properties

REQUEST FURTHER PROCESSING OPTIONS

TECACOMP PPA TRM XS black is a tribologically optimised PPA compound designed for applications with high thermal, mechanical, and tribological stress. The PPA polyamide base offers low water absorption, high dimensional stability under moisture and temperature, and excellent hydrolysis resistance.
Specially tailored for tribological use, the formulation provides a balanced ratio of stiffness, strength, and wear resistance, combined with optimised sliding and friction properties. Compared to metallic counterpart materials, the PPA resin shows reduced abrasion and improved heat dissipation.
With a glass transition temperature of around 110 °C and a melting point of 315 °C, the compound remains heat-stable up to 150 °C in continuous use and up to 250 °C for short-term exposure. Positioned between PA66 and high-performance polymers such as PPS or PEEK, this PPA nylon is a cost-effective alternative that remains highly suitable for injection moulding.
Its low density also supports lightweight design. Free of PFAS, TECACOMP PPA TRM XS black offers a sustainable solution for modern applications. Typical uses include bearing components, guides, sliding elements, and coupling parts in automotive engineering, mechanical systems, and cross-industry applications.
