TECACOMP PEEK XT TRM XS black 1061170

PEEK compound with increased heat resistance and wear resistance

REQUEST FURTHER PROCESSING OPTIONS

For tribologically stressed applications under high thermal and mechanical stress, this PEEK compound offers a powerful combination of temperature resistance, wear resistance, and dimensional stability. The reinforced polymer matrix has a glass transition temperature of 170°C and a melting point of 343°C – around 20°C and 40°C higher than standard PEEK. The material can be used continuously at temperatures up to 260°C and short term at temperatures up to 300°C, and has a low density.
TECACOMP PEEK XT TRM XS black was developed for tribological systems with a focus on friction minimisation and wear resistance. The exceptional wear resistance of the compound is a key performance feature. The combination of carbon fibres and graphite improves both the mechanical properties and the sliding behavior especially with metallic counterparts and in dry environments.
The PEEK granules are PFAS-free and are mainly used in mechanical engineering, the automotive industry, and PEEK plastic injection moulding. In addition, the material impresses with its excellent chemical resistance, low moisture absorption, and minimal thermal expansion.
