This performance-optimised PEEK compound, based on high-performance PEEK polymer (polyetheretherketone), offers a reliable solution for demanding tribological applications under combined mechanical, thermal, and chemical stress. Reinforced with carbon fibres, the PEEK granulate achieves high stiffness, very good strength, and reduced density compared to conventional materials.
TECACOMP PEEK TRM XS black was developed for systems exposed to continuous sliding and wear at high temperatures. It can be used permanently at up to 260 °C and provides significantly higher wear resistance than standard PVX PEEK grades. With tribological modification using solid lubricants such as graphite, the PEEK compound delivers excellent sliding properties against metallic counterparts—even under dry-running conditions.
The PFAS-free PEEK resin is ideal for PEEK plastic injection molding, allowing the production of dimensionally stable parts with low warpage, high accuracy, and consistent surface quality. Typical applications include plain bearings, guides, and valve inserts in automotive engineering, mechanical systems, and other industrial tribological environments.
In addition, TECACOMP PEEK TRM XS black exhibits excellent chemical resistance, low water absorption, minimal thermal expansion, and strong hydrolysis and hot steam resistance. Its high heat resistance under continuous load ensures long-term integrity, making it one of the most robust PEEK grades available for critical tribological applications.
