PE compound with very high detectability.

REQUEST FURTHER PROCESSING OPTIONS

TECACOMP PE ID blue is a detectable PE compound based on LD polyethylene, designed for use in food-related applications with high requirements for material toughness, formability, and foreign object detection. The PE granulate has been optimised for plastic injection moulding and is suitable for the production of highly dynamic load-bearing components such as belts, flexible scrapers, clamps, or films.
The modified polyethylene granules contain functional additives that enable reliable inductive and radiological detectability in accordance with the requirements of modern inline foreign object control systems. Even finely fragmented particles in the form of polyethylene pellets or smaller fragments can be reliably detected and ejected by metal or X-ray detectors. The intense blue coloration further increases the probability of detection in the product stream and is specially tailored to optical detection mechanisms.
The PE compound offers outstanding notched impact strength, even in extremely low temperatures, and exhibits ductile deformation behaviour combined with chemical resistance. This makes the PE granulate suitable for product-related functional parts that regularly come into contact with cleaning chemicals, hot steam, or hygroscopic media. Its low susceptibility to stress cracking and hydrolysis resistance expand its range of applications in hygiene-sensitive areas.
TECACOMP PE ID blue is approved for direct food contact in accordance with EU 10/2011 and FDA regulations. The polyethylene granulate thus meets regulatory requirements within the framework of HACCP, BRC, or IFS-compliant production systems.
