Detectable PA6 compound for the food industry

REQUEST FURTHER PROCESSING OPTIONS

With TECACOMP PA6 ID blue, Ensinger offers a specialised PA6 compound for the food industry that significantly improves the detection of plastic foreign bodies during production. The PA6 material combines the well-known advantages of PA6 with a specially developed formula for reliable detection by metal and X-ray systems – an important feature for modern hygiene concepts in accordance with HACCP, IFS, and BRC. The compound is also optimised for injection moulding.
It delivers excellent mechanical performance, including high impact strength, a stable coefficient of friction, and strong temperature and chemical resistance. These PA6 plastic properties ensure consistent reliability even in harsh environments such as slaughterhouses, food processing plants, or packaging lines.
The deep blue coloration enhances visual detectability in food products such as meat, fish, vegetables, or pasta. Approved according to EU 10/2011 and FDA standards, the PA6 compound is suitable for both direct and indirect food contact.
Even very small particles of the PA6 granules are reliably detected, minimising contamination risks. This makes TECACOMP PA6 ID blue ideal for components such as cable ties, clips, separation aids, or technical parts in hygienic environments.
