PEEK compound with increased heat resistance and wear resistance.

Filled with carbon fibres, this compound based on polyetheretherketone (PEEK) combines chemical and thermal resistance with mechanical strength at the highest level. The polymer has an optimised structure, which results in the special heat resistance. The glass transition temperature is 170 °C, the melting point 343 °C, which is around 20 °C and 40 °C higher than standard PEEK.    

TECACOMP PEEK XT TRM XS has a low density of 1.41 g/cm3 and can be used permanently up to 260 °C, and for short periods up to 300 °C. The added solid lubricants graphite and metal sulphide ensure excellent tribological sliding properties, especially in combination with metallic mating partners. Due to its good performance under high loads, the compound is particularly appreciated in mechanical engineering and vehicle construction.
