TECAPOWDER PI Powder as plasma spray powder
TECAPOWDER PI STD yellow -140/+325 mesh is used as plasma spray powder that allow for abradable seals in air and land-based turbine engines. This grade is used in plasma spray formulations that allow for metal turbine blades and the abradable surface area to create a zero-clearance seal for high efficiency turbines. Most of the composition is TECAPOWDER PI along with an Aluminum Silicon metal powder that is plasma sprayed onto the inner surface of the turbine. The resulting surface increase gas turbine engine efficiency.
