Redissolvable Polyimide PI Granules SG (Solution Grade)
TECAPOWDER PI SG yellow is a granulate based on the fully imidised polyimide P84. Polyimide is characterised by a very high glass transition temperature of 315 °C. Due to its chemical structure, polyimide is non meltable and therefore the plastic with the highest temperature resistance and application temperature on the market.
This non thermoplastic high performance polymer is therefore suitable for use in the production of coatings for metal containers, (among other applications) which require very high chemical resistance and temperature stability. The granulate can also be used for the production of solutions, as it can be dissolved in highly polar solvents such as DMF, NMP or DMSO.
TECAPOWDER PI SG yellow is already available in small containers from 1 kilogram as granules or in powder form (-200 mesh) and is based on Evonik's P84®.
