Carbon Fiber PEEK Filament

Decades of experience in the extrusion of PEEK enable us to manufacture a black PEEK filament with the highest filler volume of carbon fibers on the market: TECAFIL PEEK VX CF30 black - a 30 % reinforced carbon fiber PEEK filament.
Reinforced PEEK grades, and thus also carbon PEEK filament, generally exhibit higher strength and stiffness than the unfilled variant. Compared to glass fiber reinforced PEEK, the carbon PEEK filament has a much lower density. This makes the PEEK CF filament a suitable material for lightweight applications. The carbon fibers also provide significantly higher thermal conductivity and low thermal expansion. Compared to unfilled PEEK, carbon fiber reinforced PEEK filament has excellent technical properties in terms of weight and stiffness ratio. Therefore, it is often used as a metal substitute, especially as PEEK filament in 3D printing, where it is particularly widely used for prototypes and spare parts.
It is therefore not surprising that carbon fiber filled PEEK is widely used in many industrial sectors as well as in the automotive, aerospace, electronics and drilling industries.
Compared to unreinforced PEEK, carbon PEEK filament is easier to print because the carbon fiber additive reduces warping of the material.
This PEEK CF filament is based on Victrex® PEEK. Carbon fiber reinforced Victrex PEEK has proven itself in numerous applications. It is therefore very widely used in various industries - either machined or injection molded, but also increasingly as filament for 3D printing.
For the ones who prefer Evonik PEEK, we offer an equivalent material, TECAFIL PEEK EV CF30 black, with slightly different parameters.
