TECASINT 8061 yellow-brown

PTFE with 40 % polyimide

TECASINT 8061 has been made from PTFE with a modification of 40 % PI. Compared with TECASINT 8001 it has a lower creep tendency under load, along with outstanding sliding and friction properties. The material is ideally suited to soft mating materials e.g. stainless steel, brass, aluminium or bronze.

Chemical Designation:
PTFE (Polytetrafluorethylene)
1,68 g/cm3

Main Features:

  • very good slide and wear properties
  • anti adhesive
  • very good electrical insulation
  • high toughness
  • very good UV and weather resistance
  • good chemical resistance
  • sensitive to hydrolysis in higher thermal range
