5.8 Google Tag Manager
Google Tag Manager is a solution that allows us to manage keywords on our website, i.e. tags, through one interface. With Google Tag Manager, tags from Google and third-party services can be managed, bundled and embedded through one interface. Tags are small code elements on an online presence that are used, among other things, to measure visitor numbers and behaviour, capture the impact of online advertising and social channels, use remarketing and targeting, and test and optimise online presences. The tags and scripts are also able to set and forward cookies. When a user visits the website, the current tag configuration is sent to the user's browser. It contains statements about which tags are to be triggered. Google Tag Manager triggers other tags that may themselves collect data. Finally, for technically providing the service, the user’s IP number will be processed. We entered into a data processing agreement with Google. The Google TagManager is used due to your prior consent (Art. 6 para. 1 (a) UK GDPR).
The Google Tag Manager is provided by Google Ireland Limited Gordon House, Barrow Street. Dublin 4. Ireland ("Google"). On our website, so-called 2-click social buttons from LinkedIn, Meta and YouTube for sending by e-mail are integrated. You can find them by clicking on the "Share" icon below an article. If you are logged in to one of the afore-mentioned networks at the same time as using our site, no automatic data transmission takes place. Only when you activate the respective button with a 2nd click, a direct connection is established between your browser and the server of the selected social media service. As a result, the network provider receives the information that you have accessed our website with your IP address and would like to share the visited page on the corresponding social network. With a further click, you agree to the transfer of the respective data and the sharing of the page. When you click on the email function, a connection to Outlook or another e-mail program you use is established and the content is integrated as a link.
In addition, so-called social bookmarks of the same services are integrated into the website. Social bookmarks are internet links to a company's social network channels. After clicking on the link or the corresponding graphic, you will be redirected to the website of the respective provider, i.e. only then will user information be transmitted to the respective provider.
