Aircraft Interiors - April 4-6, Hamburg

At the "Aircraft Interiors Expo" (April 4-6, Hamburg), Ensinger will show a broad spectrum of applications for the aerospace industry. The annual trade fair is the most important global suppliers’ platform for products and services related to cabin interior equipment.

Ensinger is already an Approved Supplier to major aerospace manufacturers: As the airlines' demand for light-weight components is increasing in order to reduce fuel consumption, Ensinger had developed and validated various engineering and high-performance plastics for aircraft applications. Precision parts and profiles from the thermoplastics materials TECAFORM (POM AH & AD), TECAMID 66 (PA66 natural, GF30, GF35), TECAPEEK (PEEK natural, GF30, CF30, PVX), TECATRON (PPS GF40, PVX) or TECASINT (PI) are located in wings or tail plane, airframes, propulsion, actuation and control systems or landing gear.

In the passenger cabin environment engineering plastics must meet additional specific requirements. All aircraft interior materials have to pass additional specific exigencies - mainly flammability, as well as smoke emission or toxicity. In Hamburg, Ensinger will present many materials which successfully passed these requirements, based on both FAR 25.853 and AIRBUS ABD 031 specifications.

This approach will enable the customers to select Ensinger materials during their development phase and to use them safely, for many application such as seats, lighting, overhead storage, galleys or cockpit equipment for instance.

The Ensinger group will attend as a global processor of high performance thermoplastics, presenting four divisions involved in aerospace business: Shapes, Machining, Industrial Profiles and Injection Molding; represented by sales engineers coming from France, Germany, UK and USA. With the support of its Compound division, Ensinger is capable as well of formulating materials for specific customer requirements.
