TECATEC PC GF50 S296 CP/IP/OS V01 natural

POLYCARBONATE COMPOSITE WITH GLASS FIBRE FABRIC

REQUEST FURTHER PROCESSING OPTIONS

The amorphous polymer polycarbonate (PC) is characterised by its transparency and high fracture toughness. By incorporating 50 vol% continuous glass fibres into the plastic matrix, the good mechanical properties are significantly improved.
Fibre reinforced PC composites have a low thermal expansion of 5 10-6 K-1 and low moisture absorption, which makes them very dimensionally stable. They have a good price-performance ratio and have a very attractive visual appearance as a transparent laminate.
Composite materials with polycarbonate matrix are mainly used in the automotive industry, in mechanical engineering and for sports equipment.
Ensinger offers TECATEC PC GF50 S296 natural as semipregs (CP), prepregs (IP) as well as organosheets (OS).
Polycarbonate with carbon fibre reinforcement is an electrically conductive alternative with better mechanical properties (TECATEC PC CF45 T245 natural or TECATEC PC CF50 T200 natural). A variant with flame retardant polycarbonate for use in aviation and passenger trains is also available (TECATEC PC GF50 S296 FR natural).
