Styrene-acrylonitrile copolymers (SAN) are transparent, largely UV resistant and scratch resistant polymers. If continuous carbon fibres are embedded in the plastic matrix, extremely rigid and strong composite components with a very attractive surface can be produced. Applications include functional visible components in and on vehicles as well as components for sports equipment and consumer electronics. 
Due to their low moisture absorption and thermal expansion (3 10-6 K-1), components made of TECATEC SAN CF47 T245 natural are very dimensionally stable.
With their good mechanical properties at a density of only 1.41 g/cm3, they offer a wide range of applications even in technically demanding environments such as mechanical engineering.
Ensinger produces coated semipregs (CP) and fully impregnated prepregs (IP) in widths of up to 1270 mm. Organosheets (OS) are also on offer, which can then be used for thermoforming and overmolding to produce components in large quantities and in high visual quality.
