TECAST T EF natural

PA 6 C alternative

REQUEST FURTHER PROCESSING OPTIONS

TECAST T EF natural is an alternative to the conventionally cast TECAST T natural. The semi-finished product, based on PA6C, is manufactured using caprolactam from renewable sources according to the mass balance approach. The use of renewable raw materials is allocated to the product on a calculated basis; a specific, physically measurable bio-based content in the individual semi-finished product cannot be derived from this.

The material exhibits the typical properties of cast PA6C and is particularly suitable for demanding applications due to its good mechanical properties and excellent bearing and wear behaviour. Because of its low weight, PA6C is frequently used as a replacement for metals and also offers advantages over metallic materials in maintenance applications. Ensinger offers the PA6C bioplastic made from mass-balanced raw material as tubes, plates and rods.

Compared with the corresponding fossil-based variant, TECAST T EF natural has a lower Product Carbon Footprint (PCF). You will find the PCF values and the calculation method in the PCF statement in the download area.

TECAST T EF natural is part of Ensinger's ‘Reuse for Tomorrow’ solutions. These products support the reduced use of fossil raw materials.
