PPS - Polyphenylensulfide

TECATRON Ensinger Plastics

PPS material (chemically known as polyphenylen sulfide) is manufactured by Ensinger in standard stock shapes for machining in the form of sheet, rod and tube.  PPS plastic is a semi crystalline, high temperature thermoplastic polymer. Due to its structure, PPS is a very chemically resistant polymer with very good mechanical strength, even at temperatures above 200°C. In addition to its low water absorption, PPS polymer also has good dimensional stability and excellent electrical properties. PPS thermoplastic is chemically very stable, even at high temperatures. In the marketplace, PPS suppliers offer polyphenylen sulfide resin in PPS reinforced grades, such as PPS GF40 (40% glass fibre reinforced). On the stock shape side, there are different modifications available from unfilled, to specialty grades.
