TECAFLON® PVDF natural
PVDF unfilled
TECAFLON PVDF natural (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) is Ensinger's classic, unreinforced base type. The PVDF material is characterized by its typical PVDF properties such as high density, strength, and chemical resistance in combination with very low moisture absorption. In addition, it has a pronounced resistance to UV radiation, making the PVDF material suitable for outdoor applications. The low water absorption also ensures very good dimensional stability, even with prolonged contact with media.
The semi-crystalline fluoropolymer, TECAFLON PVDF is characterized by excellent PVDF temperature resistance and can be used continuously at temperatures up to 140 °C. It also offers excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, solvents, and hydrolysis.
PVDF plastic is also particularly versatile in terms of processing: it is very easy to machine and can also be welded. The PVDF polymer is therefore suitable for components that are exposed to constant mechanical stress, changing temperatures, or aggressive media. The combination of technical performance, flexible processing, and a wide range of applications makes PVDF the ideal solution for numerous areas of use, from fluid technology and mechanical engineering to the chemical and food industries. Thanks to its compliance with the requirements of EU Regulation 10/2011/EU and the FDA, PVDF plastic is also ideal for applications in contact with food and in sensitive hygienic areas.TECAFLON PVDF is available in various forms, including PVDF plates, rods and PVDF tubes. With this wide range of products, Ensinger offers a comprehensive selection of PVDF semi-finished products that are suitable for numerous technical applications.
