TECAFORM AH EF natural

POM-C bio-based

REQUEST FURTHER PROCESSING OPTIONS

TECAFORM AH EF natural is a mass-balanced bioplastic based on a POM acetal copolymer and forms part of our range of products made from bio-based raw materials. This biopolymer is an alternative to conventional POM-C and offers unique physical properties. It is therefore suitable as an engineering plastic for a wide range of applications across various sectors, from mechanical engineering and food technology to the oil and gas industry.

Compared to its fossil-based counterpart, TECAFORM AH EF natural has a lower product carbon footprint and also impresses with its outstanding performance characteristics. These include high mechanical strength and stiffness, excellent wear resistance, minimal moisture absorption and outstanding dimensional stability. Manufactured by Ensinger as a mass-balanced bioplastic, the biopolymer is available in the form of Bio-POM-C sheets, rods and tubes.

TECAFORM AH EF natural is part of Ensinger’s ‘Reuse for Tomorrow’ solutions. These comprise carefully developed products which, thanks to a lower PCF compared with their respective fossil-based equivalents, can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The relevant PCF values and information on how they are calculated can be found in the downloads section.
