TECASINT 6022 black

Graphite-filled Polyimide for Direct Forming

TECASINT 6022 black is a further development of the base polymer TECASINT 6012 natural, which has been specially optimized for tribological applications. This graphite-modified grade is also part of Ensinger's 6000 series, which is processed using the direct forming process. The polyimide is characterized on the one hand by improved wear resistance and heat ageing and on the other hand by very good sliding/friction properties. This PI polymer is therefore successfully used as a standard material type in tribological applications in both lubricated and non-lubricated environments. Due to the extreme thermal resistance as well as high creep and wear resistance of this PI polymer, sliding bushings, bearings and seals still function at temperatures, pressures and speeds at which other plastics fail.
