TECAMID 66 GF35 black

PA66 GF 35

TECAMID 66 GF35 black is a polyamide 66 filled with 35% glass fibres. This PA66 GF 35 shows outstanding properties in terms of mechanical strength and especially stiffness. This means that PA66 GF 35 can be used for structural components that are subjected to permanent mechanical loads. The addition of glass fibres also improves heat resistance. PA 66 GF 35 shows great advantages over unreinforced polyamide or polyamide 66 modified with a lower glass fibre content, especially at high mechanical loads and temperatures up to 100 °C.
An advantage over polyamides with a higher glass fibre content is that despite the addition of 35% glass fibres, it can still be extruded into rods and sheets, enabling us to offer a wide range of dimensions. Due to the very good property profile in terms of mechanics, the PA66 GF 35 is often used in industries such as aviation and mechanical engineering. When machining the PA 66 GF 35, care should be taken and very sharp tools should be used, as the high glass fibre content leads to increased wear and the possibility of stress cracks.
