TECAPOWDER PI powder as filler in composite materials
TECAPOWDER PI STD yellow -325 mesh is based on a fully imidised polyimide TECAPOWDER PI powder. This non-melting plastic offers the highest thermostability even in the most demanding applications and thus enables high application temperatures.
TECAPOWDER PI Yellow with a particle size of -325 mesh is particularly suitable as a filler in composite materials. For example, the polyimide powder is used as an alloying compound in special epoxy composites, increasing thermal stability and reducing stress propagation. Adding even a small amount of TECAPOWDER PI to epoxy composites also improves impact strength. Due to their low weight, industry-related composites are increasingly able to replace components made of metal.
TECAPOWDER PI STD yellow is available in other particle sizes (-1200 mesh, -425, -325, -200, -40 and -140/+325 mesh). Depending on the particle size, there are new possible areas of application.
