TECATEC PC CF50 T200 CP/IP/OS V01 natural

HIGH STRENGTH POLYCARBONATE COMPOSITE WITH CARBON FIBRES

REQUEST FURTHER PROCESSING OPTIONS

With a volume content of 50 % carbon fibres, fibre reinforced polycarbonate (PC) can be found in numerous structural applications. An excellent visual appearance with a good price-performance ratio characterise this lightweight composite material. In addition to applications in automotive and mechanical engineering, TECATEC PC CF50 T200 natural is often used in the sporting goods industry.
Due to its high impact strength and good mechanical properties, carbon fibre reinforced PC is used, for example, in hockey sticks or bicycle cranks.
Where highest stiffness in not necessary, or an insulating material is required instead of an electrically conductive one, the PC composite variant with glass fibre reinforcement is a good choice (TECATEC PC GF50 S296 natural).
At Ensinger, semipregs (CP) and prepregs (IP) are manufactured from carbon fibre reinforced polycarbonate. Several layers are pressed together to produce organosheets (OS). Composite sheets and plates with a thickness of up to 95 mm (TECATEC PC CW50 PL) are also available.
