TECAPEI GF30 natural

PEI Bio-based

REQUEST FURTHER PROCESSING OPTIONS

TECAPEI EF natural (PEI) is an unreinforced, mass-balanced polyetherimide from our range of semi-finished products made from bio-based raw materials. It has been developed for applications across a wide range of sectors, including healthcare, the aerospace industry, consumer electronics and food processing.

Compared with its fossil-based counterpart, this biopolymer has a lower product carbon footprint. At the same time, the mass-balanced bioplastic offers equally outstanding mechanical strength and stiffness; its property profile includes remarkable hydrolysis resistance and dimensional stability. Furthermore, it ensures a comparatively high service temperature over the long term. TECAPEI EF natural is available as a bio-PEI semi-finished product in the form of plates and rods.

The material forms part of Ensinger’s ‘Reuse for Tomorrow’ solutions. These comprise carefully developed products which, thanks to a lower PCF compared with their respective fossil-based equivalents, can help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The relevant PCF values and information on how they are calculated can be found in the downloads section.
