TECAPAI® CM XP440 black-green

PAI Modified Bearing Grade

Proprietary additives are what makes TECAPAI CM XP440 black-green compression molded PAI plastic an excellent choice as a bearing and seal material. Solvay Specialty Polymers provides the Torlon® material from which this bearing grade polyamide-imide is made, and it can be considered as Ensinger's version of a product commonly referred to in web searches as “torlon 4540”. It has excellent tribological properties including a low coefficient of friction. Additionally, TECAPAI CM XP440 has a low CLTE and good compression strength. It also maintains strength and stiffness at elevated temperatures, and combines very good machinability with strong chemical resistance to round out its polyamide-imide properties profile.
Users in the oil and gas industry will find TECAPAI CM XP440 black-green a useful Torlon material in labyrinth seals for compressors and pumps, as well as other bearing and wear components. Finally, the fact that TECAPAI CM XP440 black-green is compression molded allows for minimum run quantities as low as 1 piece, which adds to the product's appeal.
