Detectable PA6 compound for the food industry

TECACOMP PA6 ID blue 1053686 is a compound based on the engineering thermoplastic polyamide 6 with balanced mechanical properties and good detectability. The base polymer PA6 is characterised by a good coefficient of friction, good temperature resistance, outstanding wear resistance and good impact strength, additionally supported by a modifier.

A medium level of metal-based additives ensures good detection results in the food industry (Ensinger Detection Level MID). TECACOMP ID compounds are reliably detected by metal and X-ray detectors. Even small particles of plastic components in the production environment can be detected and separated. The risk of food contamination with foreign bodies can thus be significantly reduced.  The blue colouring of the material (similar to RAL 5003) facilitates visual detection. Food approval in accordance with FDA and EU 10/2011 is available. 

TECACOMP PA6 ID blue 1053686 is available as a compound. For detection tests, Ensinger offers a special detection kit for tests directly at the end customer's plant, as well as sample plates (80 x 80 x 3 mm) and tensile test rods. The detectability of the material has been tested by RONDOTEST GmbH & Co. KG.
