PA66 compound with very good detectability

TECACOMP PA66 ID blue based on PA66 has a high filling level of metallic additives and is rated with the Ensinger Detection Level HIGH. The very good detectability has been confirmed by RONDOTEST GmbH & Co. KG and ensures a high level of food safety. TECACOMP ID compounds are modified with a metal-based filler. Products contaminated with foreign bodies in the food industry can thus be reliably detected and sorted out by metal  or X-ray detectors.

TECACOMP PA66 ID blue is suitable for applications where high detectability is required and the toughness of the material plays a minor role. Typical applications are structural parts in plant engineering for the food industry, such as carriers or holders for chocolate or confectionery molds. Even small fragments of the material are detected by metal and X-ray detectors. The blue colour of the material (similar to RAL 5000) also enables visual detection.

The base polymer PA66 has a very high wear resistance, a good coefficient of friction and a very good temperature resistance. The material has high mechanical damping properties and good sliding properties. Ensinger TECACOMP ID compounds comply with the FDA and EU 10/2011 food regulations.

TECACOMP PA66 ID blue is available as a compound. For detection tests Ensinger offers sample plates (80 x 80 x 3 mm), tensile test rods and a detection kit.
