TECACOMP PE ID blue 1014904

PE compound with very high detectability.

TECACOMP PE ID blue is the compound with the highest toughness within the Ensinger ID portfolio. It is based on the polymer polyethylene (LD-PE) and is optimised with metal-based, detectable additives. Due to a high filler content, the material achieves very good detectability in applications in the food industry.

Metal or X-ray detectors reliably detect even small plastic particles or fragments of the components. Blue colour additives (similar to RAL 5003) ensure visual detectability.

The high toughness of the material enables the production of flexible components such as flash ties, films or scrapers for direct food contact. PE is frost-resistant and can also be used at low temperatures, for example with contact to frozen food. The modified LD-PE compound is approved for direct food contact (FDA and EU 10/2011).

The semi-crystalline base polymer PE is characterised by low density, good toughness and very good chemical resistance.

Ensinger offers TECACOMP PE ID blue as a compound. Sample sheets (80 x 80 x 3 mm), tensile test bars or a detection kit are available for detection tests.
